Francisco Quintana García joins “Futureando” to discuss ethics and artificial intelligence

On July 22, the latest episode of Futureando premiered—a program hosted by anthropologist Silvia Salinas Mulder (Catalytic-A) that brings together voices from across Latin America to reflect critically and creatively on the future.

This episode focused on the timely and complex topic:
“Artificial Intelligence: What About Ethics?”

The conversation featured Francisco Quintana, a Mexican human rights lawyer with over two decades of experience advocating for justice and the rule of law across the Americas.

Francisco’s career includes work at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and nearly two decades as Program Director at CEJIL. He has played a central role in regional processes such as Cartagena +30 and +40, the Working Group on Venezuelan Human Mobility, and the Americas Network on Nationality and Statelessness, which he co-founded. Today, he advises civil society organizations across Latin America on the intersection between AI and human rights.
